This is Willow

Customizable Community Food Hub

The Willow is what you get if you cross a food hub with a community center and a washcar and put it in a park — built to support nutrition programs, school meal services, cultural food preparation, food security programs, or walk up quick service and concession duties – all in one modular building. Whether funded through public grants, Indigenous-led initiatives, health authority partnerships, school districts, or the private sector this unit is tailored to your specific goals, site, and community needs.

By starting with a standard food hub and then designing it to be endlessly adaptable the Willow is intentionally more than the sum of its parts. Just as in nature, every Willow is specifically adapted to its community and environment. No two Willows are the same — because no two communities are the same.

The Willow

Built with adaptability in mind, the Willow includes commercial kitchen facilities alongside multi-use space that can be fitted for teaching, wellness programming, or administrative use. Barrier-free access is standard, and layouts can be fully tailored to cultural needs, community input, or specific grant and funding requirements.

It supports programs such as school lunch prep, cultural preservation cooking, elders’ meals, or dietitian-led community events — all while meeting modern building codes. Available options include food-safe finishes, full HVAC systems, CSA A277 certification, and site prep guidance from CIP Modular.

The Willow is a flexible, culturally respectful community space designed to bring people together through food, health, and learning. It’s modular infrastructure with a bigger purpose — made permanent.

*Due to the highly customized nature of the Willow, all specifications are suggested and can be adapted to your vision.

"Food brings people together. The Willow creates space for meals, stories, and services — all under one durable roof."
